ASIANS / PACIFIC ISLANDERS

I always knew that people from Asia are warm welcoming people..of course I speak in behalf of the Filipino ppl too hehehe.. They are open, nice, hospitable and accommodating.. and most of the time they are like that everwhere they go... and I am glad that we were raised to be nice people...

I know I can't stop talking about the people from the Almansor and the Eagle Rock High School Gym... and I know all I talk about these days is volleyball... I think jun is getting tired of me raving and chattering about how nice people are.. well how can you not say they are nice after what we experienced in the ROOSEVELT HS VOLLEYBALL GYM... those people are just plain RUDE...

Why the title well most of the population in Alhambra and Eagle Rock is comprised of Asians/Pacific Islanders and all I can say is kudos to you.. They practice good sportsmanship and just plain being nice... There was just this one guy in Alhambra that irks me.. he was just way too competitive and belittled our capabilities to play volleyball.. we know where the ball is and how to hit it.. you don't have to take our spot... that said people are still nice and he was nice too.. mwehehe.. so we have Tuesdays at Eagle Rock and Sundays at Alhambra.. we are still scouting for Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays..mwahaha are we getting freaky at this.. NO we just want to get better in our game and learn how to spike.. this girl yesterday was so tiny yet she hits so hard.. dang i want to be able to do that..

so all in all i think the world still has a chance.. we are not doomed.. there are still alot of nice ppl everywhere.. except in the ROOSEVELT HS GYM mwahaha.. sorry for ppl who come from there... when I get bad experience with a place it stays with me.. so screw you and your gym... mwehehe...

Why am I still awake?

I really don't know why I can't sleep... My arms and my feet hurt like hell but sleep is not visiting me.. I slept for 5 mins. after talking to apple but that's it... when i woke up to remove my contacts and prepare to sleep i was more awake than before.. so here I am blogging and bothering you.. I was watching Oprah and Kelly Clarkson was singing Because of You and I loved it so here I am sharing it with you coz finally sleep has settled on my arms mwahaha... enjoy...

I will not make the same mistakes that you did
I will not let myself
Cause my heart so much misery
I will not break the way you did,
You fell so hard
I've learned the hard way
To never let it get that far

Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid

I lose my way
And it's not too long before you point it out
I cannot cry
Because I know that's weakness in your eyes
I'm forced to fake
A smile, a laugh everyday of my life
My heart can't possibly break
When it wasn't even whole to start with

Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid

I watched you die
I heard you cry every night in your sleep
I was so young
You should have known better than to lean on me
You never thought of anyone else
You just saw your pain
And now I cry in the middle of the night
For the same damn thing

Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I try my hardest just to forget everything
Because of you
I don't know how to let anyone else in
Because of you
I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty
Because of you
I am afraid

Because of you
Because of you

EXCUSE ME FOR BEING RUDE

As Apple said yesterday... my mom taught me how to share... yes ppl of the world and the good united states of america we the filipino people know how to share, how to interact with new comers and how to talk to ppl when ppl talk to us... we are not snobs and hogs... hogs = pigs = swine =  a selfish, gluttonous, or filthy person b : one that uses something to excess.. no we are NOT SELFISH...

So why all this hullabaloo? I emailed this guy coz he was in charge of the volleyball open gym in Roosevelt HS... the site said to email ppl listed there so we would know if the schedule changed... so out of courtesy to the organizer I emailed him coz we were gonna play there for the first time, i asked him for the sched and if we needed to reserve a time to use the gym.. so he replied that it was open to everybody and the sched was from 6:00 - 9:30 pm, they usually played 2 on 2 then 6 on 6 depending on the number of ppl there... so i was like ok.. there's gonna be 4 of us and we need 2 more so probably someone else will join our group.. so off we went me, apple, che and my mom who i picked up from a nearby school... so we were ther watching the first batch play.. so i was looking for this fernando guy and i approach this snob sitting across the court from us thinking that ppl there might be friendly.. he doesn't know who fernando is and he just hmms and ahhs and yeses and hmmms again... so i was like ok it was time for me to go and go back to our little spot across the court...  and finally fernando approaches and tells us to just grab a ball... ok so there's improvement... OR SO WE THOUGHT... that's where all their friendliness ends.. go grab a ball and play in the corner...

so we play amongst ourselves for a while.. when we got tired from playing and from laughing at each other we sat down and talked some more... and started staring the ppl down.. why do this you may ask.. they played one game after another after another after another after another... they were just rotating players when they got tired... we know we are out of practice and we don't know how to spike and do the killer moves they do but i don't know if they had been in our court and emailed one of us we'd let them play after one game so they'd get a feel of the court... he even left early without even saying goodbye to us coz I think he got ashamed of what they were doing to us...

THEY LET US PLAY 15 MINS BEFORE THE GYM CLOSED... when we were already tired, tired to even get the ball across the court properly to finish a game...we were nice enough to give them their ball when it went near us before we were getting pissed off... but after the who knows how many freaking selfish games they played we let them freaking run after their own ball...get tired you #$%^&*( !$^&* mwahaha... and yes i had the guts not to look back and say thank you.. i wanted to say SCREW YOU! #$!& YOU SELFISH BASTARDS! I wanted to complain to the volleball organization but who knows who will kill me, stab me or beat me up if i do... so here you go I'll just do this here and bother everyone on my list mwahaha...

So there you go EXCUSE ME FOR BEING RUDE...

WHAT WOMEN SHOULD NEVER APOLOGIZE FOR - from Quincy

1. Never apologize for pursuing what makes you
happy. Even if you need to quit your job, transfer
schools, or move across country, always do what
you really want.

2. Never apologize for using proper English.
Keeping it real doesn't mean speaking Ebonics.

3. Never apologize for giving your best in a
relationship that just didn't work out.

4. Never apologize for being successful. Only
haters want to keep you at their level.

5. Never apologize for crying. Wear waterproof
mascara and express yourself.

6. Never apologize for ten pounds you need to
lose. People who truly care about you will accept
you as you are.

7. Never apologize for being frugal. Just
because you save your money instead of blowing it
on the latest fashion emergency doesn't mean
you're cheap.

8. Don't apologize for being a single mom.
Babies are a blessing.

9. Never apologize for treating yourself to
something special. Sometimes you have to show
yourself some appreciation.

10. Never apologize for leaving an abusive
relationship. Your safety should always be a
priority.

11. Never apologize for keeping the ring even if
wedding bells won't chime.

12. Never apologize for setting high standards in
a relationship. You know what you can tolerate
and what simply gets on your nerves.

13. Never apologize for saying NO.

14. Never apologize for asking for what you want
in bed. If you don't, then who will?

15. Never apologize for wearing a weave. You
bought it so it's yours.

16. Never apologize to your new friends about old
friends. There's a reason she's been your girl
from day one.

17. Never apologize for ordering dessert. Or
more than one dessert.

18. Never apologize for dating outside your race.
Just because you found Mr. Right across the color
line doesn't mean you don't love your brothas.

19. Never apologize for not knowing how to cook.
Even if you can't burn like Grandma you know how
to order good take out .

20. Never apologize for your taste in clothes.
It's your style.

21. Never apologize for changing your mind.

22. Never apologize for making more money than
your man, you work hard and you deserve to get paid.

24. Never apologize for being you! "KEEP YOUR
HEAD UP AND KEEP MOVING FORWARD"

Something to Ponder on

ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.

THREE. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

FOUR. When you say, "I love you," mean it.

FIVE. When you say, "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye.

SIX. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

SEVEN. Believe in love at first sight.

EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone's dream. People who don't have dreams don't have much.

NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.

TEN.. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.

ELEVEN. Don't judge people by their relatives.

TWELVE. Talk slowly but think quickly.

THIRTEEN. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, "Why do you want to know?"

FOURTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

FIFTEEN. Say "bless you" when you hear someon e sneeze.

SIXTEEN. When you lose, don't lose the lesson

SEVENTEEN. Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and responsibility for all your actions.

EIGHTEEN. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

NINETEEN. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

TWENTY. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.

TWENTY-ONE. Spend some time alone.

SUPERNATURAL

I love watching scary movies especially when i can scream alot mwahaha...but i love them with happy, crazy or scary endings... but this show last night was way too freaky it left me scared even after it was done.. i mean i was ok when i was in my room.. i had the lights open but when i got outside i thought they were watching the same show... but nooo.. everything was pitch black.. nobody was even awake... the story...

this is one good theory for the scary white ladies.. the woman in white... white woman.. girl in white.. she is everywhere.. she is in different countries... we all have her... she is a mother who's husband/bf is or was unfaithful and she couldn't live with the fact and she kills herself and her spirit does not rest... this story is the same as the above but out of grief she kills her children and not being able to live with the thought that she killed them she kills herself too.. she either jumps off a bridge.. drowns herself or hangs herself... she then haunts the place near her house and tries to lure in unfaithful men by riding with them at night asking them to take her home... they do and after that they are never to be seen again...

this made me scared to go out and drive at night.. what if somebody asks for a ride.. i know the gym is what 15 mins away... and it's all lit up from there to my house.. but what if... i remembered the bridge area where me and che got lost going home before her bday... i got lost at that place once before but i never passed that part of the road where there was no freaking street light and it was zig zaggy... you could only rely on your headlights... it was a long stretch of road.. and it went under a bridge which had no sign whatsoever... it was scary... but we got home in one piece so we are ok.. wahoo...

but this show made me think.. there goes a good story for unfaithful men mwahaha... you should be scared.. be very scared.... one of these days the white lady will be after you riding in your car asking for a ride home then that will be your history... mwahaha....

i know i'm blogging again.. shhh....

13 THINGS ONLY GIRLFRIENDS UNDERSTAND

1.) Emergency calls at 3:00am.
2.) No matter how many times we watch the same tearjerker, we'll always weep in the same scenes. (iyakin kami e bakit ba mwahaha..)
3.) Why shopping is forever therapeutic. (it's good for tiding away your hunger too...)
4.) That we'll never be too old for slumber parties.(like every other weekend mwahaha...)
5.) The difference between 110 & 111 pounds!
6.) Why we have to go to the bathroom in packs.(to talk about the idiots out there mwahahha..)
7.) Why we can leave anything & everything at home, except our "kikay kits". (i think we should add our cellphone here too...)
8.) Why we can never own too many pairs of jeans.
9.) Why we feel naked without our earrings. (which i always leave at somebody else's house hahahaha...)
10.) How we can spend a whole day together & still have tons to talk about on the phone. (mwehehehe and to think tinutulugan na kami ni papa val hehehe...)
11.) Knowing exactly what kind of pick-me-up you need-whether it's a hug, a bar of your fave chocolate, or tadaah...SHOPPING!!!
12.) That no matter how many malls you scour for the perfect present, the best gift you can ever give anyone is still the gift of FRIENDSHIP. (or surprise parties hehehe...)
13.) And that boyfriends come & go, but real friends? They'll never (ever!) leave your side... :-) (and will always be there to grill that bastard mwahaha...)

Temecula_0016_2We went to Tita Elvie and Tito Charlies farm in Temecula.. it was a long drive but it was all well worth it.. the place was so nice.. Their house was made of clay and straw which Tito Charlie built himself... it had a loft where you could sleep in, it was 80+ Temecula_0024_1outside but inside it was like you had the ac on... it was so cool and nice... Temecula_0100 it reminded me of the provinces we have back home.. they had this creek behind their house which had crawfish, fish and a nice orange turtle in it.. Temecula_0148 yes we went in and tried to see how deep it was, yay my knees got wet mwahaha... well tito charlie said that before it used to be chest high but due to the storms and stuff the dike they built there was washed off... we were late hehehe... they had this cool big tree where you can climb on...we went on top of this cool tree like little monkeys hehehe... there was alot of games there.. horse shoe games, ball games, and our favorite go carting down the path going to their house... it was so much fun just likeriding a mini roller coaster Temecula_0037which you had to operate mwehehe... oh that was just the activities in the morning.. after eating we went to the gardens where they had had vegetables - pumpkin, gourd to name a few and fruit trees all over the land which i can say bore the Temecula_0128sweetest fruits, there was jujubi(sp?), loquat, strawberries which bore fruit all year round, and i know they have more i forgot their names... and che said they had grapefruit too.. but they were not in season yet so we will have to wait they come in december hehehe...Temecula_0159 in the afternoon we went go carting again and played volleyball.. it was me(sub for justin), apple, jun, jes, tito charlie(sub for jess) and justin on one team, we had subs. hehehe, on the other team we had my mom, john, che and ralph...and my dad was the referee... our team won the first round but after that we were losing so we had to sub. justin.. and in the end.. we won wahooo.... but of course at the end of the day we all have to go home.. but we always took souvenir pictures to remind us that we all had a good time.. Temecula_0166and we will come back if they let us... finish all their fruits mwehehe... here are some nice piccies i got of che and val mwehehe..Temecula_0117
